How does the Postal Design Service work?
You will receive a Survey Information Pack.
This is a step by step guide to collating all the information on which the design will be based.
It also includes a booking form so that you can tell me which design service you would like for your garden.

Survey Information Pack
The Survey Information Pack provides you with all the help and advice that you need to :-
-
Make an assessment of your garden.
-
Provide details of the plants in the garden that you want to keep.
-
Discover what type of soil you have and its pH.
-
Take suitable photographs so that I can see what your garden looks like.
-
Let me know what your requirements are for the new design.
-
Survey the garden and the important features within it.

Check that you have collated all the relevant information
-
Work out how much the Design Service that you want will cost and how to book that service.
I will be on hand, at the end of the phone or by email, should you have any queries as you collate the survey information.
There is a £25 charge for the Survey Pack, payable in advance.
However this will be deducted from the design fee when you go on to book
any of of the Postal Design Service.

Once you have gathered together all the necessary information,
you will need to decide which of the three levels of design service offered by Woodlands Garden Design
is most appropriate for your particular needs.

Full Design Service
The Full Design Service provides you with all the information
that you need to begin creating the design and planting scheme for your new garden.
From this Service you will receive:-

a colour outline plan, hand drawn and to scale, of your new design;

a detailed planting plan, showing you what to plant where;
-
an individually tailored A4 booklet containing comprehensive supporting information for both the design and the planting scheme, plus a list of useful sources.

Standard Design Service
The Standard Design Service provides you with all the information you need to create the hard - landscaping side of the new design.
This service is often chosen by clients who have a good knowledge of plants and so want to create their own planting schemes.
From this Service you will receive:-

a colour outline plan, hand drawn and to scale, of your new design;

an individually tailored A4 booklet containing comprehensive supporting information for the design, plus a list of useful sources;
-
the A4 booklet will also contain a general overview of the type of plants that would work well with the new design.
Prices for this service depend on the size of the area to be designed.

Planting Design Service
The Planting Design Service provides you with all the information you need to redevelop an existing area of planting within your current garden.
This service is often used by clients who are either happy with the overall layout of their garden and want to achieve change through planting alone, or who have created new planting beds and want help to develop a suitable planting scheme.
From this Service you will receive:-

a detailed planting plan, showing you what to plant where;

an individually tailored A4 booklet containing supporting information for the new planting scheme, plus a list of useful sources;
Prices for this service depend on the size of the area to be designed.

When you have decided on the design service that you would like to book,
you complete the final sections of the Survey Information Pack and then send the completed pack back to me.
The next step will be for me to spend time creating your new design.
This can take up to several weeks but as soon as the design is ready I will contact you to let you know when I will be posting it out to you.
Once your new design arrives take some time to study the plans and read through the accompanying notes
